Questionwhat are those brooch pin things called? The empty ones. I'm trying to find some to buy online to make my own jewelry with because I think they're a cute idea, but I can't find them... Answer

You’ll likely find the type of pin you’re looking for if you search for “kilt pin” on whatever jewelry supply website you favor. I know Fire Mountain Gems has them, and if you search craft supplies on Etsy there are lots of supply sellers that have them, also. There are also different types available, like with 3 loops or 5 loops or no loops at all, and they come in different metal finishes too. Hope that helps!

I hear it’s Derek Hale Appreciation Day today, which seems maybe inadequate for those of us who live a Derek Hale appreciation life, but it’s nice to see him getting a little love. I like to wear my appreciation for Derek Hale on my person at all times, if I’m honest, which is one of the reasons I got started with making Teen Wolf-inspired jewelry designs in my Etsy shop. My most heavily recurring themes include triskeles and wolves, because I take my Hale Pack pride seriously. I kept one of the little triskele-and-wolf pendants (on the lower right in the picture) for myself because I like to think it’s the werewolf version of dogtags. Like, if I should die in the line of werewolf duty, bury me on Hale Pack land and please ask Derek Hale to weep over my grave when he’s not busy weeping over his terrible life. And then somebody get Peter Hale and force him to give up the secrets of resurrection because I don’t want to stay dead, you feel me?

ANYWAY I DIGRESS. My jewelry’s inspired by a lot of different elements of the show; there’s a necklace and some mistletoe accessories inspired by season 3A’s darach, quite a few Argent-inspired pieces of various descriptions, and a lot of Nemetons to symbolize its place in the plot and also the Emissary’s place in the pack. (Which as far as I can tell is best described as “frustrating and cryptic.”) The Derek Hale pieces are usually nearest and dearest to my heart, though. I feel like he’s probably got an appreciation for werewolf history that I can get behind — he did get a piece of that history tattooed on his back, after all — but I also like to work on my art pieces with Teen Wolf reruns in the background, so there’s a good likelihood that anything you order may be anointed with the pure tears I have cried over Derek Hale’s everything.

Just a few new Teen Wolf designs this time (I’m working on more)… Allison Argent earrings, a metal wolf’s head necklace, a fox and wolf Nemeton-y bracelet (it’s both Sterek-y and Scira-y at the SAME TIME isn’t life wonderful), and a triskele bracelet. There are also really a lot of new arrow-themed designs where I mostly had Allison in mind, because I think about her a lot and how great she is. Check out the shop for more! :)
